He was so big he demanded a presence. I assume he was in migration and flew over the River mountains from Lake Mead. It was Novenber. He lingered in the yard for several minutes flying in a pattern feeding on a couple small new hatches. Then he was gone.

A few days later another one arrived and I stood watching for a full 20 minutes while he flew his pattern around the yard and fed on several new little hatches, and guess his wing span around 4 inches.

A big, yet small butterfly making his way in the world, doing just fine. Eating well on a warm desert day.

I’m not sure what kind he was. It was like my index finger had huge wings and was flying in a pattern, gorging on insects.

Somehow I just knew… a new chapter was beginning. I was going on an adventure.

It has been 7 months since my last post. I’ve traveled and met some of the best people on earth. We live in a beautiful country with beautiful people.

I am home.

On Christmas Day the white blossom arrived. You can’t plan gifts like this, such an awesome fresh and beautiful bloom arriving on Christmas morning.cbloom
I woke up to this pink blossom this morning and wanted to share such beauty.
